Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients within the APP scope, collaborating with a team to ensure efficient patient flow and high satisfaction. The role emphasizes independent work, rapid assessment, and definitive treatment in a walk-in urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include detailed histories, orders for labs/imaging, emergency stabilization, data interpretation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice.
• DEA license and state-controlled substance certificate required as applicable.
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification in the APP role (ER/UC experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed health histories and comprehensive medical assessments.
• Order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies as appropriate.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilize patients as needed (cardiac arrest, shock, etc.).
• Interpret patient data to guide management and treatment decisions.
• Provide health care guidance and patient education to patients and families.
