Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Northern Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant- Float to support clinical and front office operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will register patients, collect demographics, assist with procedures, perform point-of-care tests, draw blood, manage lab prep, and help with scheduling and phone duties while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination by obtaining medical history and documenting in the medical record.
• Measure and record vital signs and report results to providers.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock inventory; monitor supplies.
• Support front desk duties including phone management and patient communication.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
