Inova–GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front-office operations as a float across centers. You will assist providers to deliver high-quality care, manage patient flow, and ensure a welcoming experience for every patient, working a mix of shifts.

The role requires BLS, at least 1 year of MA experience, and a high school diploma. This position offers industry-leading benefits and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year Medical Assistant experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required at time of hire.
• BLS certification must be through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history accurately.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, UA, EKG, pregnancy tests) and report results.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and monitor inventory levels.
• Document accurately in the medical record system and support front desk tasks.
