Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front desk operations. You will work closely with providers to ensure efficient patient flow and a welcoming environment across urgent care services.

The role requires MA experience, BLS certification, and flexibility to work various shifts in a fast-paced team. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire (AHA or ARC).
• Certification options include CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographics, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Obtain medical history and document in the medical record.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare, clean and stock exam rooms; monitor inventory.
• Support front desk duties and patient communication.
• Conduct follow-up calls as needed.
• Complete opening/closing duties and cash handling.
