Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant- Float to support clinical and front-office operations across urgent care centers. The role involves patient registration, vitals, point-of-care testing, specimen handling, and proactive coordination with providers to maintain smooth patient flow.

The position requires 1 year of MA experience, HS diploma, and BLS certification. Shifts run 8:00 AM through 10:00 PM with various schedules; competitive benefits include health coverage, 401(k)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• BLS certification required at hire or must be obtained through AHA/ARC.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document in medical record.
• Measure vital signs and perform point-of-care tests and report results.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory; support front desk duties.
• Follow policies and ensure timely documentation in EMR.
