Novant Health–GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support providers across our urgent care centers in North Carolina. You will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, front desk operations, and patient flow to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive experience for every patient.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year Medical Assistant experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and MA certification options if needed.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Certification options available if needed.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients and collect paperwork and insurance information.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as directed.
• Prepare patients for examination including medical history.
• Measure vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, height, weight).
• Perform point‑of‑care testing and communicate results.
• Draw and prepare blood specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms and manage supplies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Answer phones and maintain reception area.
• Conduct patient follow‑up courtesy calls.
• Open/close duties including cash handling and security.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report issues.
• Adhere to clinical, safety and organizational policies.
