Novant Health–GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support providers in delivering high-quality urgent care services. The role includes patient intake, clinical procedures, front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth patient flow for a safe, efficient, and positive experience.

Minimum 1 year MA experience required; BLS certification required at hire; strong computer and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients and collect paperwork, insurance information, and eligibility verification.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as directed.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing and communicate results to providers.
• Draw and prepare blood specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; monitor supplies and inventory.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Answer phones and maintain a welcoming reception area.
