The schedule is full-time, 40 hours weekly with rotational weekends and holidays, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate or Medical Assistant Certification.
• Computer experience with ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs.
• Associate degree in medical assisting or completion of a medical assistant certification program.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience typically acquired through a minimum of one year in clinical or customer service settings.
• Knowledge of reagent stability and storage.
• EMR experience and ability to master EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare patient for examination; measure vital signs.
• Assist clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests.
• Ensure EMR is updated with medical information.
• Keep patients informed of visit status and delays.
• Reconcile medications and set up pending refills.
• Assist in resolving patient concerns and complaints.
• Order and perform point-of-care waived testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
