Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Urgent Care in Somerville. You will support clinicians, perform routine procedures, and ensure accurate EMR documentation to maintain efficient patient flow.

The role requires rotating shifts with 8am–8pm hours on weekdays and weekend rotation. Prior clinical or customer service experience and MA certification are preferred, with ACLS/BLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate or a Medical Assistant Certification
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain EMR updates
• Experience in a clinical or customer service setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms according to policy
• Prepare patients for examination and measure vital signs (BP, pulse, height, weight)
• Assist clinicians with routine procedures and tests and advise on pre-visit requirements
• Update EMR with medical information, demographics, meds and allergies
• Reconcile medications and set up pending refills; address patient concerns as needed
