Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care seeks an energetic Medical Assistant to support exams, patient vital signs and procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will administer medications, collect specimens, and assist providers under supervision, while maintaining stringent safety protocols.

The role requires completion of an approved MA program with national certification eligibility, and strong EMR/EHR skills. A teamwork mindset and flexibility to work in urgent care are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• National certification or eligibility through CMA/CCMA/RMA/NHA.
• Commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Draw blood and collect urine samples as required.
• Perform basic physicals and wound care in urgent care settings.
• Proficient use of EMR/EHR systems and proper documentation.
• Support front office and back-office operations as needed.
