Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support fast-paced clinical teams across our Arizona and national network. The role combines direct patient care, specimen handling, EMR/EHR proficiency, and front-office support to keep patient flow smooth and accurate.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and completed an accredited MA program, or valid national certification and/or documented work experience as a MA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with MA training or certification.
• National MA certification may substitute for approved training.
• Experience and verification of MA duties considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams, vitals and procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection per direction.
• Conduct physicals and wound care as part of urgent care.
• Maintain EMR/EHR proficiency and accurate documentation.
• Provide front-office support and patient flow management.
