Job summary

ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations in Delaware. The role includes patient check-in, vital signs, and phlebotomy assistance under clinician supervision.

Experience in a fast-paced urgent care setting is preferred. You will handle registrations, medication administration support, and point-of-care testing while maintaining accurate records and a patient-focused experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; MA program preferred.
• Basic Medical Assistant duties and strong communication skills are essential.
• BLS certification required at time of hire; multiple MA certifications accepted.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance coverage.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and update medical records.
• Assist with examinations and vital signs; perform point-of-care testing as needed.
• Maintain supplies and clean, organized exam rooms.
• Open/close duties and cash handling; respond to calls and callbacks.
