GoHealth Urgent Care, in partnership with ChristianaCare, operates urgent care centers across Delaware/Maryland. The Medical Assistant handles check-in, vital signs, specimen collection, and exam room prep under provider supervision.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and Medical Assisting Program, with BLS and MA certifications or nursing/EMT alternatives. Onsite, full-time role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Experience as Medical Assistant and Front Desk preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire; CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA or equivalent credentials preferred.
• CPOE certification within two weeks of start date.
• Alternative: Nursing (LPN/RN) or EMT certifications accepted.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and update status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform point-of-care testing and collect specimens.
• Maintain supply inventory and clean exam rooms.
• Document and maintain medical records and charts.
