Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations in Delaware. You will assist in examination and treatment under the supervision of a provider, manage check-in, collect vital signs, draw blood, and prepare rooms for visits.

The role requires a High School Diploma; MA program preferred, BLS, and one of several MA certifications. Onsite work with competitive benefits and monthly incentive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire, through ARC or AHA.
• Certifications: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA acceptable at hire; CPOE certification within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and communicate status to patients.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and front desk area.
• Perform point of care tests and collect specimens.
• Record medical history and document in charts.
