Job summary

ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow at our urgent care centers. You will handle check-in, vital signs, specimen collection, and room preparation, under the supervision of an urgent care provider.

Responsibilities include processing co-pays, scheduling visits, and coordinating referrals while ensuring accurate medical records. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with on-site responsibilities and a focus on patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Medical Assisting program preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire or within short period after start.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience in urgent care or similar setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Assist providers during examinations and prepare exam rooms.
• Maintain clean and stocked medical supply areas.
