Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in New Castle, DE is hiring a Medical Assistant to support examination and treatment under an urgent care provider. You will manage check-in, take vital signs, draw blood when needed, and help prep treatment rooms.

The role includes front desk duties and daily inventory tasks in a fast-paced clinic. Requirements include a High School Diploma and MA program completion; BLS certification is required at hire or soon after.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; MA program preferred.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification at hire or before.
• Medical assistant duties and front desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, collect paperwork and insurance details.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments for centers.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Answer questions and inform patients about care status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Take vital signs and perform point-of-care tests when needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, front desk, and supply inventory.
• Open/close duties, cash handling, and daily controls.
