Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Front Office Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients in a fast-paced clinic environment. You will collect patient and insurance information, input data into the EMR, and manage appointment flow with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in a front office role within a physician's office or urgent care setting, with strong typing and Windows software skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in registration/front office in healthcare.
• Typing and computer proficiency in Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Obtain personal and insurance data from the patient and input into EMR.
• Monitor patient flow and place patients into rooms as needed.
• Complete insurance forms for registration for proper reimbursement.
• Prepare daily deposits, reconciliation, and statistics.
• Ensure front office supplies and functioning equipment.
• Answer phones with quality customer service.
• Keep waiting area and restrooms clean and professional.
• Manage patient appointments via NextCare website.
• Notify back office of urgent patient concerns.
• Educate patients on NextCare services for current/next visit.
• Notify Clinic Manager of safety concerns.
• Follow policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in training and cross-training of staff.
