Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year on-the-job health care experience as a receptionist or administrative support required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or must attain within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual skills in English and Navajo language preferred.
• Must maintain a valid unrestricted and insurable driver’s license.
• Background investigation and suitability for Child Care position per ICPFVP Act.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones, routes calls to staff, takes messages, and relays messages; prints appointment lists.
• Greets patients, verifies check-in status in the EHR system and records information on screens/forms.
• Initiates patient medical chart and collects required forms with documentation.
• Prepares patient forms for clinic use and collects after-visit documents.
• Directs patients to next area (Appt Desk, PRC, Benefits Coordinators, Pharmacy).
• Performs reminder calls for next-day or future appointments.
• Acts as interpreter for Navajo-speaking patients as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
