American Family Care in Concord, CA is seeking an Office Manager to oversee daily operations of our urgent care clinic. You will lead a dynamic team, coordinate reception, medical assistants, and technicians, and partner with Providers to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional service.

This role requires 3+ years in healthcare management, strong leadership, hands-on scheduling and payroll experience, EMR proficiency, and a solid grasp of HIPAA/compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in healthcare management, preferably urgent care or ambulatory care.
• Strong leadership; ability to coach, inspire, and retain teams.
• Proficient in scheduling and payroll systems; EMR experience required.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain within onboarding period.
• Solid understanding of healthcare administration, compliance, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor non-provider staff, fostering service and accountability.
• Manage daily clinic operations: patient flow, scheduling accuracy, resource use.
• Monitor KPIs: wait times, patient satisfaction, staff turnover, budget adherence.
• Maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance and internal protocols.
• Handle recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and performance management.
• Serve as liaison to leadership; report performance data and improvement plans.
• Support on the floor during peak hours as needed.
