Job summary

American Family Care Castle Rock is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to care for patients within the scope of training and approval. The APP will collaborate with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction.

The position requires PA/NP licensure, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certification with a preference for ER/UC experience; 12-hour shifts, weekends, and major holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification; ER/UC experience preferred.
• Active PA/NP licensure with DEA and state-controlled substance certificate.
• DOT certification preferred; or ability to certify within 8 months of hire.
• Candidates with at least 1 year of Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive histories and order appropriate tests.
• Form diagnoses and referrals to facilities or services.
• Initiate emergency measures and stabilization when needed.
• Interpret data to guide patient management and treatment decisions.
• Provide health care guidance and patient/family education.
• Other duties as assigned
