Job summary

American Family Care Aurora City Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide urgent and primary care across Castle Rock and SE Aurora clinics. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, quick decision-making, and strong bedside manners.

The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities. Applicants should have current PA/NP licensure, DEA, and state certification, with preferred ER/UC experience.

Qualifications

• Board-certified by ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA (preferred).
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in practice state.
• DEA number and state-controlled substance certificate as required.
• 1 year ER/UC experience preferred.
• DOT certification preferred or ability to certify within 8 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive health histories and review records to form medical assessments.
• Order labs, imaging, and diagnostics appropriate for patient condition.
• Formulate diagnoses and initiate treatment or referrals as needed.
• Stabilize patients in emergencies and coordinate with facilities as required.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and preventive health.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
