Job summary

American Family Care Aurora City Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join our urgent care team. You will work between Castle Rock and SE Aurora locations, caring for patients with a focus on high-quality, efficient care.

We require board certification (PA/NP), current state licensure, DEA and CS cert, with 1 year UC/ER/Family Medicine experience. DOT certification is preferred and multi-shifa responsibilities include emergencies, triage, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Board certification as PA or NP (ANCC/AANP/NCCPA).
• Current state licensure for PA/NP with DEA and state CS certificate.
• DOT certification preferred or able to certify within 8 months of hire.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and major holidays.
• At least 1 year of Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete health histories and develop comprehensive medical assessments.
• Order labs, radiology, and diagnostics as appropriate.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilize patients as needed.
• Provide patient and family education on care and health promotion.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
