Job summary

Able South Carolina is seeking an Upstate Mobility Management Specialist to lead mobility management programs for people with disabilities and seniors. You will educate riders, coordinate intake, and collaborate with transit partners to improve access across the Upstate.

The role requires working with diverse stakeholders, meeting after-hours as needed, and delivering programs that expand transit options while advancing independent living goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Knowledge of disability rights and Independent Living philosophy required.
• Experience with public transit, mobility management, paratransit, or community transportation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of community resources and supports for people with disabilities.
• Excellent communicator who can engage riders, lead trainings, and present to stakeholders.
• Strong relationship-builder with riders, providers, government agencies, and partners.
• Ability to identify transportation barriers, research solutions, and translate findings into actions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data management systems.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Able SC’s Upstate mobility management program, including intake and eligibility verification.
• Lead interactive travel training sessions for riders to navigate local transit.
• Deliver train-the-trainer modules to partner organizations and service providers.
• Provide inclusive customer service with real-time troubleshooting, referrals, and follow-up.
• Expand awareness of travel training programs and Greenlink initiatives.
• Represent Able SC at stakeholder meetings, outreach events, and planning committees.
