Job summary

Mobility Management Partners is seeking a Mobility Specialist - Special Needs Services in Los Angeles to educate and assist seniors and individuals with disabilities in using public transportation. This full-time role involves field training across the county with mileage reimbursement and a competitive benefits package.

The position requires experience in related human services fields, bilingual abilities are preferred, and the candidate must reside in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or BA in education, special education, kinesiology, social work, or related field with 3-5 years experience with seniors/individuals with disabilities
• High School diploma with 5 years related experience with seniors/individuals with disabilities
• Minimum of 1 year of proven marketing experience
• Bilingual in English; additional languages preferred (Spanish, Mandarin, Farsi, Armenian or Korean)
• Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance (required)

Responsibilities

• Educate participants to safely utilize public transit resources in a variety of settings
• Support the safety and well-being of participants at all times
• Follow prescribed methods and procedures for each project
• Attend various public events or meetings/outreach events
• Update and maintain project-specific informational databases
• Complete required reporting within established timeframes
• Maintain ongoing effective communications with management, staff and other parties
• Provide back-up coverage for various projects
• Other duties as assigned
