Job summary

theWit Hotel is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced downtown Chicago setting. You will take orders, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and work with the team to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication and multitasking abilities, with hospitality experience and knowledge of POS systems. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality service procedures.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the Micros POS system.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and ensure accurate, timely service.
• Maintain menu knowledge and assist guests with questions and recommendations.
• Coordinate with kitchen and guests to ensure proper food timing and quality.
• Close guest checks, process payments, and handle voids or comps as needed.
• Break down and reset tables and service areas; support team and managers.
