Job summary

theWit is a premier downtown Chicago hotel dining venue. The Busser supports front-of-house operations by assisting servers, delivering food, and keeping dining areas polished to uphold elevated dining standards.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in a high-volume restaurant, possess TIPS/ServSafe certifications, and show fluent English communication. The role requires flexible evenings and weekend availability and physical stamina to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
• TIPS and ServSafe certifications required.
• Fluent English communication.
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers with food and beverage service in a professional, organized, and timely manner.
• Run food and carry trays safely and efficiently throughout the restaurant.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables according to restaurant standards.
• Provide water and beverage service while maintaining attentive table service.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and health code standards throughout the outlet.
