Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Miami is seeking a Steward/Potwasher/Warewasher to keep the kitchen and related areas clean and organized. You will assist with sanitation, proper storage of china, glass, and silver, and support kitchen staff across shifts.

The role requires stamina, ability to stand for long periods, and adherence to safety protocols. Prior hotel or food-service experience is a plus, with reliable attendance expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexibility with long hours and varying shifts.
• Must be able to stand, bend and lift during shifts.
• Commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness and order in kitchens and related areas.
• Perform heavy cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, and equipment.
• Wash pots, pans and utensils following sanitation procedures.
• Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop floors in food & beverage areas.
• Assist with food storage, rotation, and proper chemical handling.
• Report equipment shortages or safety concerns to management.
