Job summary

Highgate Hotels, Graduate Princeton - Princeton, NJ, seeks a Steward/Potwasher/Warewasher to maintain cleanliness and proper storage of china, glass, and silver, and assist kitchen staff in upholding sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning of equipment, washing wares, and assisting with buffet setup. The role requires standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and flexible hours to meet hotel needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or hotel experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
• Flexible with long hours and varied shifts.
• Must be able to stand for entire shift.
• Excellent communication with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness and orderliness in kitchens and back areas.
• Heavy cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, and equipment.
• Wash pots, pans, and utensils; vacuum carpeted areas.
• Sweep, mop, and wash floors in F&B areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment ensuring sanitation.
• Return clean wares to proper storage with care.
• Follow sanitation standards and safety procedures.
• Assist in set up/breakdown of buffet and assist Banquets.
