Job summary

The Biltmore Estate is seeking a Village Hotel Dining Room Host in Reserve for part-time hours. Hosts greet guests, escort to tables, manage seating flow, and assist with reservations and phone inquiries to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

Weekend and holiday availability is required, with shifts from early morning to late evening. Responsibilities include maintaining restaurant readiness, upholding Biltmore standards, and providing friendly, efficient service while supporting colleagues

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience required, preferably front of house in fine dining or upscale setting.
• Fluency in English and basic math skills with cash handling ability.
• Familiarity with reservations software; OpenTable knowledge is helpful.
• Ability to think clearly, remain calm, and provide courteous service under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating per standards.
• Maintain flow of seating by section during service.
• Help prepare the restaurant for service and maintain cleanliness.
• Answer the telephone, take reservations, and manage the reservation book.
• Monitor guest needs and assist department, leadership and the company as needed.
• Provide general assistance to guests and staff throughout the shift.
