Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a Server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of food & beverage menus, including wine pairing and cocktail recipes.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to interact with guests and team members.
• Professional appearance with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure.
• Familiarity with POS systems; basic math for accurate order taking and payment processing.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift trays or plates as needed.
• Understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standards; teamwork.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations; responsible alcohol service practices.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort to tables, and present menus.
• Explain menu items, specials, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Recommend dishes based on preferences and dietary needs.
• Take accurate orders using a POS system and coordinate with kitchen/bar.
• Communicate special requests to the kitchen and accommodate as possible.
• Serve promptly with proper presentation and quality.
• Monitor tables, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide utensils.
• Prepare and serve specialty drinks if required.
• Answer guest questions courteously and knowledgeably.
• Upsell appetizers, desserts, or beverages to enhance dining experience.
• Handle complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
• Process payments (cash/credit) and use POS.
• Coordinate with kitchen/bar for smooth service.
• Maintain a clean dining area and set tables.
• Follow health and safety regulations and food sanitation practices.
