Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to design, plan, and execute structural tests for the 4-engine second stage of the New Glenn rocket. You will shape hardware concepts, create test plans, and document results, working across design, test, and manufacturing teams.

You will use Creo and ANSYS to develop robust, safe structures and contribute to a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Relocation is provided, with some travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience with complex structural systems.
• Experience executing production or qualification tests focusing on mechanical, structural, or fluid systems.
• Proficiency in Creo Pro/E and ANSYS.
• Strong project management, vendor/supplier coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret test instrumentation and data.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and preliminary designs for test.
• Develop and maintain test documentation.
• Coordinate test readiness and execution, including fixturing design and instrumentation.
• Operate as load control console operator during live test execution.
• Create and own development and qualification test activities for hardware.
• Work with 3D CAD programs and FEM tools to deliver designs.
• Ensure safety standards are enforced across test operations.
