Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an engineer to design, plan, and execute structural tests for the New Glenn program. You will contribute to the aft & distributed systems of the 9x4 second stage, engaging in design, layout, analysis, and test readiness coordination.

Responsibilities include developing test concepts, coordinating instrumentation and fixturing, and producing clear analysis reports while adhering to ASME Y14.5 GD&T. A strong emphasis on safety and quality is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience with complex structural systems.
• Experience executing production or qualification tests (mechanical/structural/fluids).
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo) and test instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and preliminary designs for tests.
• Develop and maintain test documentation and fixturing designs.
• Coordinate test readiness, setup, and execution with materials procurement and manufacturing.
• Deliver designs with ASME Y14.5 GD&T and documented analyses.
• Lead live test operations as load control console operator.
• Create and own development and qualification test activities for hardware.
