Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking an experienced aerospace structural engineer to lead the design, analysis, development, testing, and qualification of structural subsystems for New Glenn’s second stage and payload accommodations.

You will own hardware lifecycle from requirements through integration onto a launch vehicle, design and test primary and secondary metallic and composite structures, and perform research, trade studies, and documentation to support safe and reliable

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering with 3+ years in aerospace structures.
• Strong understanding of composite and metallic design fundamentals.
• Experience with CAD and FEA tools (Creo/Windchill, ANSYS).
• Ability to own hardware lifecycle from concept through integration.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of hardware from requirements through integration on a launch vehicle.
• Design, analyze, develop, and test metallic and composite structures.
• Perform hand calculations and FEM analyses to report margins of safety.
• Develop test plans and documentation for flight hardware.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and suppliers.
