Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace engineer to support design, test, and qualification of the 4-Engine second stage for the New Glenn vehicle. You will lead the development and execution of structural tests, contribute to flight hardware design, and ensure compliance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, plus proficiency in Creo Pro/E, ANSYS, LabVIEW, and MATLAB.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Direct experience executing production or qualification tests on mechanical/structural systems.
  • Proficiency in Creo Pro/E and 3D CAD tools for design and documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a dynamic, inclusive team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and preliminary designs for test and qualification activities.
  • Coordinate test readiness, fixturing, validation, and data capture.
  • Produce engineering drawings and analyses per GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
  • Work with CAD/FEA tools to deliver validated designs and reports.
  • Support ground test execution as load control and data review lead.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure safety and reliability in space hardware.
