Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking a part-time Unit Secretary to support the Nursing Director and Unit Based Patient Care Team. You will answer phones, schedule tests, maintain medical records, coordinate admissions/discharges, and help manage supplies and communications to ensure smooth unit operations and patient-centered care.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years in medical or customer service setting; knowledge of Medical

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of medical or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred; strong computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Answer unit phones and relay messages to staff.
• Schedule patient tests, appointments, and admissions/discharges.
• Maintain patient records and document in Meditech.
• Coordinate transport and bed management for patients.
• Support unit operations and supply management.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
