Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital seeks a designated Unit Secretary to support the Patient Care Team. The role involves answering phones, coordinating tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, and ensuring smooth unit operations under the Nursing Director and charge RN.

You will assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, manage documentation in Meditech and bed management systems, and float to other pods as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math and reading testing.
• CNA/PCT certification required; Data Conversion - Various Issuers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to patient and family calls.
• Coordinate discharge, admissions, and transfers.
• Maintain patient records and clinical documentation.
• Provide clerical support and operate bed management system.
• Floats to other units as needed.
