Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Part‑Time Unit Secretary to support the Nursing Director and Unit Based Patient Care Team. The role involves answering calls, coordinating tests and admissions, maintaining records, and liaising with multiple departments to ensure smooth unit operations.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred) and 1–2 years of medical or customer service experience, with strong Microsoft Office and communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in medical or customer service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Answer unit phones and take accurate messages for clinical staff.
• Schedule patient tests, appointments, and referrals per physician/RN direction.
• Maintain patient medical records in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
• Coordinate discharges, transfers, and admissions to support unit flow.
• Provide back‑up coverage for patient transport and assist with unit logistics as needed.
