• Experience as Unit Clerk, Unit Secretary, or in hospital/medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients, families, visitors, and physicians while providing exceptional customer service.
• Answering telephones, call bells, and intercoms; direct requests to appropriate team members.
• Coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges with accurate patient information.
• Entering physician orders and updating patient records using electronic medical record systems.
• Preparing, organizing, and maintaining reports and unit documentation.
• Supporting the daily operations of the nursing station by maintaining supplies and an organized work environment.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with previous clerical, administrative, or customer service experience. Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment. Previous experience as a Unit Clerk, Unit Secretary, or in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records, physician order entry, and healthcare documentation is also preferred. Part-Time from 3:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday with every other weekend and holiday.
