Job summary

The role emphasizes staffing, staff development, care planning, and collaboration with families. Active RN license is required with nursing administration experience preferred, to support a high-quality patient care environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold active RN license in the state.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience, preferably in a similar population.
• At least 1 year experience in nursing administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing needs and supervise nursing staff delivering direct resident care on the assigned unit.
• Assist in staff development and training.
• Provide direct resident care following established plans.
• Supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.
• Conduct and document data collection of residents’ medical status on admission and during treatment.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Recruit and hire nursing staff as needed.
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements.
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and resolve grievances with families and staff.
• Complete Preceptor Training.
• Contribute to innovative ideas to improve systems and processes and support a strong management team.

Major Responsibilities

• Managing the staffing needs and providing supervision for nursing staff providing direct resident care to ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit.
• Assists in staff development.
• Responsible for providing direct resident care in accordance with established plans.
• Supervises Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN .
• Must have a minimum (3) years nursing experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility. Minimum one (1) year experience in nursing administration.
