Job summary

Katzman Family Center for Living seeks a Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to lead the nursing unit in Chelsea, MA. The role offers on-site 40-hour weeks, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with on-call weekend rotations and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

You will supervise nursing staff, oversee resident care, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with physicians and families to develop individualized care plans. MA RN or LPN license required; CPR/BLS/ACLS certified; strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN licensure or a valid MA LPN license.
• Minimum 2 years in a clinical supervisor or leadership role.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and patient safety.
• Current CPR, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing unit operations to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff, assign shifts, provide clinical guidance.
• Assess residents, monitor changes, and coordinate care plans with physicians.
• Ensure accurate med administration and infection control per regulations.
• Address concerns and support quality improvement initiatives.

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff by coordinating assignments, providing clinical guidance, and fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure accurate medication administration, documentation, infection control practices, and adherence to state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly, respond to clinical emergencies, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications for Success:

• Active, unencumbered MA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• 2+ years prior experience in a clinical supervisor or leadership role
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols in a skilled nursing or similar healthcare setting.
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
