Job summary

Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea, MA is seeking a Unit Manager—RN or LPN—to lead the nursing unit, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care and regulatory compliance.

This full-time role offers $95,600 - $106,000 annually, based on license and experience, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Work 40 hours/week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with on-call weekend rotations at a patient-focused facility.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years in clinical supervision or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations and infection control.
• CPR certifications: BLS and ACLS, English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing unit operations and ensure resident-centered care.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, coordinate assignments and foster teamwork.
• Assess residents, monitor changes, and develop care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure medication administration, documentation, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
• Address concerns, respond to emergencies, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff by coordinating assignments, providing clinical guidance, and fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure accurate medication administration, documentation, infection control practices, and adherence to state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly, respond to clinical emergencies, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications for Success:

• Active, unencumbered MA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• 2+ years prior experience in a clinical supervisor or leadership role
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols in a skilled nursing or similar healthcare setting.
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
