Job summary

Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea, MA, is seeking a Unit Manager RN to lead the nursing unit, ensuring resident-centered care and regulatory compliance. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, with a schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and on-call weekend rotations.

You will mentor staff, coordinate assignments, and collaborate with physicians and families to implement care plans, with a strong emphasis on safety, infection control, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered MA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• 2+ years prior experience in a clinical supervisor or leadership role.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff by coordinating assignments, providing clinical guidance, and fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure accurate medication administration, documentation, infection control practices, and adherence to state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly, respond to clinical emergencies, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.
