Job summary

Northern Star Pogo Mine is looking for an Underground Miner to join the Utility Crew in Delta Junction, Alaska. The role involves operating underground equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and performing a range of mining tasks.

With a focus on safety and efficiency, candidates should have at least two years of experience in hard rock mining techniques. The position offers a rotating schedule of 28 days on and 14 days off, working in extreme conditions with provided camp accommodations and amenities.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide leadership and training to new team members.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate underground equipment.
• Install services and infrastructure in underground settings.
• Conduct tasks related to ventilation and cable bolts.
• Liaise with supervisors for work area information.
