Job summary

Northern Star Mining Services Pty Ltd. is seeking an Underground Miner to safely operate underground equipment and perform related mining tasks at Delta Junction, AK.

You will report to the Underground Shift Supervisor and work on a 14-on/7-off schedule on a remote site, with strict MSHA safety adherence. Responsibilities include pre-start checks, hazard reporting, equipment maintenance assistance, and clear radio communication while performing long-hole, jumbo drilling and other assignments in

Qualifications

• Ability to provide leadership and training to new team members.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform tasks including Truck driving, Nipper, Bogger, Charge-up, Service Crew, Construction, Long hole and Jumbo drilling.
• Carry out pre-start checks and report hazards and injuries.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure tools/equipment are safe and serviceable.
• Communicate clearly on two-way radio and adhere to MSHA requirements.
