Job summary

Northern Star Mining Services Pty Ltd. in Delta Junction, AK, is seeking an Underground Miner - Utility Crew to operate underground equipment and support development and production headings.

The role requires shift coordination with the Underground Shift Supervisor, adherence to MSHA regulations, and a strong focus on safety and communication. The position involves a 28-on/14-off schedule with long shifts up to 11.5 hours, working at a remote campsite with company-provided amenities.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in underground hard rock mining.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical and drug screening.
• Current Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate underground equipment.
• Install utilities and ventilation for development and production headings.
• Install underground infrastructure (paste walls, paste piping, vent doors, fan bulkheads).
• Monitor and control paste pours and dewatering.
• Ensure tools and equipment are serviceable and safe.
• Maintain good housekeeping and communicate clearly on two-way radio.
