Job summary

Redpath is seeking a journey-level Mechanic to perform quality maintenance and diagnostics on diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air-operated mining equipment. The role covers equipment such as Jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, loaders, and dozers, with both shop and field work and overtime as needed.

You will troubleshoot, disassemble/reassemble, test, and ensure adherence to safety policies while maintaining parts, records, and a high standard of workmanship in underground mining

Qualifications

• Documented maintenance experience of 5 years in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Underground mining.
• Full working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals and schematics.
• Perform preventative and major maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics.
• Test repaired equipment to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and service trucks safely.
