Job summary

Redpath is seeking a Master Mechanic to directly supervise underground and surface mechanical personnel, ensuring quality maintenance, diagnostics, rebuilds and reassemblies of mining equipment. You will oversee engines, powertrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems for equipment such as jumbo drills and haul trucks.

You will manage the team, schedule work, enforce safety standards, and mentor staff while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Documented 10 years of maintenance experience on heavy mining equipment.
• Minimum 5 years underground mining experience.
• Full working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventative and major maintenance, diagnostics and repairs per safety standards.
• Schedule and assign work ensuring adherence to maintenance plans.
• Mentor and train staff, manage performance and safety compliance.
