Job summary

Redpath Mining seeks an experienced journey-level Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnostics, disassembly/assembly on diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems for mining equipment such as jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, loaders, and dozers.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, testing, and safe operation of mine equipment. Field risk assessments and adherence to safety policies are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of documented maintenance on heavy mining equipment.
• Minimum 2 years experience in underground mining.
• Current State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals and electrical/hydraulic references.
• Perform preventative and major maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and disassembly/assembly per Work Orders.
• Test repaired equipment to verify performance and conformity to specs.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and service trucks safely.
