A leading coal producer is looking for an Underground Miner – Longwall Mechanic to join their team at Shoal Creek Mine in Alabama. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining longwall mining equipment while adhering to high safety standards. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, be self-motivated, and have at least two years of relevant underground experience. Qualifications

• Must have two years of underground longwall mining experience.
• Must be able to communicate and coordinate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on all longwall components.
• Visually inspect shearer and shields for problems during longwall operation.
• Operate underground longwall mining equipment in production and support activities.
