Job summary

Peabody Energy's Shoal Creek Mine in Oakman, Alabama, is seeking a Longwall Maintenance Supervisor to lead the underground maintenance team on the longwall and related equipment. You will plan, direct, and supervise maintenance work, ensure safety compliance, manage inventory, and drive short- and long-term maintenance planning under the Maintenance Manager.

Required: high school diploma or GED, trade certifications, 2 years' experience with heavy diesel equipment, and knowledge of mining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade certification(s) required.
• Two years of experience maintaining heavy diesel equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and lead the work of a crew or team.
• Supervise maintenance and repair personnel with technical counsel and safety oversight.
• Prepare and submit accurate maintenance records.
• Implement maintenance planning, scheduling, and forecasting under the Maintenance Manager.
• Monitor and optimize parts flow and inventory.
• Evaluate workforce performance and train for weaknesses.
